Hilal is a half-pipe U-type tipper semi-trailer developed to withstand the intensive pace of heavy-duty field operations such as excavation, construction, mining and port filling works. The body can be manufactured with volume options ranging from 18 to 38 m³. Thanks to its half-pipe body section, the center of gravity of the load is lowered, providing high stability both on the road and during tipping. Depending on customer requirements, the body plate can be selected as Hardox 450/500 wear plate or S700MC high-strength steel. These materials provide long service life against impact and friction caused by abrasive loads such as rock, rubble and aggregate.
The half-pipe geometry helps the load flow out smoothly during unloading without sticking to the body, reducing tipping time. The three-axle chassis, pneumatic air suspension and disc or drum brake options provide balanced driving performance under heavy loads. The front-mounted telescopic tipping cylinder offers fast discharge with a high tipping angle. The trailer can be adapted to different field requirements with options such as SAF/BPW axles, automatic lubrication, lift axle and automatic rear door system.
